I headed down to the Gapcheon river, as I had noticed it was frozen a couple of days before. I assumed there would be kids playing on the ice. I didn't expect anything so organised. People were renting sleds and skates and having a whale of a time. It was fascinating to watch and photograph, but eventually after 100 pictures the cold sent me scampering home. I had forgotten my gloves, and photography with numb fingers isn't a whole lot of fun.
